- I have very thin hair. It started when I was about 13. It would get very thin and then it would grow back. It has been like this my whole adult life until the last two years. Now I have to wear a wig. I have never received any diagnosis. My rheumatologist and two dermatologist and an endocrine doctor all have no idea. Just take more vitamins they all said. I've had some regrowth in the last couple months, but my hair is in no way normal looking. It's like baby hair. Every day is a struggle to stay positive. I'm losing all interest in any life outside my house. I wear the stupid wig , but I hate it.
