I have had Alopecia since the age of 2.. AU since the age of 8. I didn't even noticed that my eyelashes and eyebrows had fallen off until a kid at school pointed out "hey you have no eyebrows and no eyelashes!" I have went through the phases of being bullied and having my wig pulled off at school but I don't remember ever really crying about it. I don't remember ever asking why me, I just dealt with it. My parents spent tens and thousands of dollars trying to treat my Alopecia. Nothing ever really permanently worked. There was this experimental treatment I was getting with Dr. Constantine Chambers, who was passionate about treating people with alopecia. Unfortunately Dr. Chambers died in a plan crash in 1999 --> http://www.cbsnews.com/news/8-dead-in-florida-plane-crash/ ...With no one to finish his work because I dealt with him directly, my treatment stopped and the hair that was started to grow back went away. I always wonder what would have happened if he continued to treat me. Anyway, this is the first time I am openly telling my story. When I reached my teen years, I started embracing who I was and realized that I beautiful with or without hair. I started to find beauty in my flaws and I realized if I had hair maybe I would have just been wayyy too beautiful lol. Anyways thank you for the approval.
