Hi, I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata about a year ago and I am having a really hard time dealing with it. I am looking for someone local with the condition to be friends with. No one seems to understand what I am going thru. The internet has helped, but I would really like to meet someone in person. I am 30 years old.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time with this. You are definitely not alone!
You might check on the National Alopecia Areata web site (www.naaf.org) to see if there is a support group near you. Let me know how else I can help.
