- I was diagnosed with alopecia areata in 2007. The year after that I started losing all my hair, then eyebrows and eyelashes. I'm in a sort of alopecia limbo between totalis and universalis. While I've pretty much accepted this disorder, I still miss my hair and never go out without my wig even though I usually don't wear it at home.
