Do you wish you could grow your hair back!

"I am still a work in progress on this question and trying to find my routine with both wearing wigs and still dealing with bio hair:scalp issues. So….I’m undecided but don’t think my bio hair can regrow to a manageable routine for…"

Losing My Hairline and Recession Areas.....Need a Solution to Cover It. BANGS?

Hello,I'm going through my second time with losing my hair.  I first lost my hair due to chemotherapy for Stage III breast cancer when I was 33 years old.  When my hair grew back after chemo, it was sooooo different and very, very WHITE.  FOr the last 20 years I've been in a salon every two weeks getting it colored and bounced around from trying to wear it culy to getting straightening treatments, ALL WHILE TRYING TO CREATIVELY STYLIE IT TO MINIMIZE PART LINES HIDE MY ROOTS. Earlier this year,…See More

About Me:
I have lost my hair not once but twice…..chemotherapy 20 years ago for stage III breast cancer at age 33, and I was recently diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia.
After chemo, My hair grew back in almost 100% white after chemo and I’ve been in a salon getting color done every two weeks since, along with straightening treatments to try to creatively style it to cover root regrowth, in between color appointments, and to minimize part lines. But now….. I have too many part lines that have become way too wide, my hairline has receded, and there’s patchy hair loss throughout the top. It’s no longer just about covering white roots……it’s the scalp and my hair can’t handle the excessive “creative”styling anymore…..the sections that I needed to once join part lines together are gone and damaged. There is no hair to cover these areas anymore.
I’m on a lot of medications for hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, other autoimmune disorders, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and have had more surgeries than I can count and I just can’t keep trying to creatively blow- out my natural texture and multi-directional growth hair and/or lack there of.
Some of my hair may grow back as I’ve started oral minoxidil and red light therapy but it could be another year or more to see if they will truly help and it still won’t really solve everything because it’s so damaging to to constantly manipulate my natural hair and I am at the end of my rope. 😉😂 And, I don’t know how to navigate through this without support….just like the support I found on my journey with breast cancer, I learned how much we need each other!!!
