- My hairline first began receding on one side about 3 years ago, followed by the other side. It is receding on sides and along bang line. A little behind the ears now also. It is distressing when I lose hair from those areas, because I know it will not grow back. From what I have read, it appears I have frontal fibrosing alopecia. All diagnostic tests (lupus, thyroid) were negative. Would love to hear any ideas that have worked to stop progression.
