- I am a 39 year old African American woman. I have dealt with alopecia cicatrical (central centifical) since I was like 4 years old. I love life and I love the Lord, my kids and my guy. Honestly, though, this issue with my hair has been troubling to my self confidence level. I have been to many support groups in order to overcome my issues. I know that support groups work, as God uses us to heal each other through his love and positive energy. Something dawned on me that now that there may be people healing each other in an alopecia support group as well, so here I am. I hope to find an alopecia support group for women in the Atlanta, GA area.

hi cheri, some girl dumped a chemical in my daughter's and my hair while we were sleeping so now both of us have scarring alopecia...i am scared to death.........i don't know what to do this is all so new to me. you sound like you have alot of faith and that is what i want in my life..i think that is the only way i am going to get over this....i don't know how to send a friend request on this website, but if you would like to be my friend you could send a friend request to me..i am so alone.....thank you for listening....hugs, megan
