- I developed Alopecia Universalis in a period of three weeks in 2004. My hair started coming back in 9-19-06. At that time I started taking Triamcinolone injections and have taken the injections every four weeks ever since. I also use Olux & Rogaine for Men twice a day. At the present time I have Alopecia Areata but with the help of my stylist I manage to keep my spots covered. I thank God everyday for the return of my hair and pray that I do not develop Universalis. I have never come to peace with myself and this disease. For me it is a monster lurking around the corner. I admire everyone who loves themselves for who they are with or without hair.
