I promise you will not be sorry! Regarding attachment, for a custom wig you should not have any slippage, but I usually use a little tape at the front and sometimes on the sides. I get the red tape at Hair Direct,http://www.hairdirect.com/store/Red-1-X-12-Yard-Tape-Roll.aspx. You might ask Brenda if you need to shave your hairs or not -- it depends on how much you have whether or not it could affect the fit. Hugs!
Danielle, I'm so glad I can help! Brenda Kay is so fab. You can contact her at 503-223-8092 and email at bkswildhair@comcast.net. She's also on AW. I don't think she has a web site. Really, I was a hair frump until I found her.
The one I'm wearing in this profile photo and several pics on my slide show are custom pieces. I always get them from Brenda Kay, who is here in Portland but works with women all over the country. Her wigs are less expensive than Follea and Freedom Wigs, and they are beautiful! You can get virgin European human hair for about $3K, and Remy Indian hair for about 1K. That includes cutting and styling, and she guarantees satisfaction. The European hair units last and last. I still have one from 2001 that's in great shape. I bought two others and I interchange them.
I also have synthetic wigs I have for when I need wash and wear hair, so for working out at the gym, travel, gardening, walking in the rain.I get those at www.wigsalon.com at a very nice discount -- much less than you can get at a wig shop.
Hi Danielle, That's too bad that your wig came in with too much density. My wig person always orders mine with just the right density for me so there's never any thinning she has to do.
As far as things getting easier, yes they do! I've had this for 30 years and it's a piece of cake!
