Hi Eileen, that is great about your daughter. Samantha had long hair so it was easy to cover up her spots till she just lost too much. She was never one to keep things on her head, but she loves her wig..Have you been able to find biotin in a liquid? Sam can't seem to swallow the pill. In addition to her treatment, I give her Aloe Vera juice and a multi-vitamin that has everything including biotin. I also wash her body and head with biotin products. take care, Cindy
Hi Eileen, I have a 6 yr old daughter with AA. Sam has total hair loss and has no lashes or brows. We are doing a treatment that I think is starting to kick in...Sam wears a wig and loves it, but we are finding our first summer with no hair a challenge and learning experience. We are hopeful that Samantha's hair will return..How has your daughter dealt with her AA? Does she have hair? Cindy

Hi Eileen and Kelly,
Abby has used luxiq foam and also the greasy cream, to no avail Abby still is loosing most of her hair. We have looked at wigs but at her size the really dont seem to match her well. We live 30 miles north of Utica in Forestport. Im not sure if we should pursue more aggressive tx, I don't want her to get sick just to get hair growing. thank for chatting.
Hi Eileen,
Wow, small world, huh? I was diagnosed with AA probably at the same time she was...when I was about 3-4ish. How is she doing with it? I know when i was younger i didn't even think about it. I remember other kids asking me why, but I don't think I ever put any thought into it. Has she ever met anyone else with AA?
-Alex
Hi Eileen,
We would love to get in touch we have not met any other children with AA. What tx have you tried if any? Thank you for your comment. We can't wait to get in contact with you.

How is your little girl doing with her AA? Since you described her as "spunky," I'll bet she's doing really well!
