- 49 year old married mother of 3. I started with alopecia aerata in 2003 after running my first marathon. I did steriod injections to the scalp for 6 months and saw no results. My alopeica did not stop until I lost all hair on my body. I tried several topical treatments with no success then tried Vytorin for about 8 months. It did grow back my eyebrows and lashes. I have grew back some hair on my head, but not all over. Very little hair to legs, under arm and private area.
