- My name is Henrietta Roberts, Hetty for short. I got alopecia when I was two. It started as areata, then went to totalis, and back and forth between them for 20 years. I am now nearly 21 years old, and I have lost all my hair on my head and started to loose my eyebrows as well. For the last 3-4 years have have worn mesh wigs, which are fantastic and have boosted my confidence immensely. I have also been in a relationship for a year and a half. My partner knows everything about my hair, but he has not seen me without my wig, as I sleep with it on. I know he loves me but i'm still scared what he will think, thanks to past experiences.
