- Hey. I've been dealing with alopecia since I was about 5. I lost almost all of my hair when I was 8. It all came back but every so often I lose spots. I never had another bad loss but it has came close. When I was in 8th grade I had to go on home schooling for most of that year. I never left school again but it was still hard trying to hide the spots i was dealing with in high school. I am in college now and my hair is starting to fall out again but I am grateful for never losing it all and it never coming back. however I am still very young so only time will tell.
