Bumps on bald patches

My daughter is struggling with bumps appearing on her patches on her head, has anyone experienced this, and if so what do we do about it?

I am a concerned parent. My daughter is 13 years old and going through the emotional stress over having alopecia. She has lost one eyebrow and has several bald spots on her head. She is devastated about her eyebrow, but refuses treatment because it makes her skin break out.
