Hi...I'm Jo
I'm a very young minded etc 54 year young woman.
I've Just been informed this very day...after having a biopsy 2 weeks ago, that i have ' Scarring hairloss' also known as 'Fibrosing alopecia'. It's mainly at the frontal lobe....and around tha whole hairline but not as much as front.
My emotions are scaling from between being totally devastated to numbness. I see my consultant in two weeks. Is there anyone out there with the same stuff going on....if so please HELP!.......
Having a good day..is not denial..it's a good day.
I think we sometimes forget for a second and then the hell of remembering creeps back into us.
Is that what you mean?
Enjoy the good moments..because they can be far and few.
It takes years...no lie..and it's all about fighting those deamons...right!

Thank you for the compliment! That particular wig is a synthetic by Rene of Paris called Brandi; the color is Butterscotch. I cut it about 2 inches. You can get it at a discount on www.wigsalon.com.
Hello and welcome, Jo --
I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.

Hi Jo, I am so confused with it all also. I have been losing hair on my head for a year. Everytime it grows back it falls out. Recently I have been losing my eyebrows, eyelashes, arm hair, well hair all over my body. I am going back to my doctor soon also. I am going to have a list of questions ready so I can have everything answered. they did give me a cortizone ? shot I saw some new growth but it fell out. I am sorry that you are having to go through this but try to remember we are not alone. I got really depressed for a while but I'm tired of it having this control over me. I have so many things to be grateful for, with or without hair. I am praying for you. Erin!!
