I'm a host of a health show on KAOS-fm Olympia, WA . Full disclosure here; I do not have alopecia; I'm here to learn more so as to add alopecia to our on-air discussions and "get it right." In the late 80's I helped with PR for a fledgling support group in my-then home town of Niagara Falls NY.
Welcome to International Alopecia Day!!! We are very excited to have you here and hope you are able to join forces with everyone to make this event a success and one that will carry on year after year.
Well thanks, John, even if I am not quite feeling that way myself these days. Truth be told, I am having a very difficult time coming to terms with losing my hair (not totally bald yet, but getting closer daily). My esteem is down the crapper and it's a very lonely place to be.
Thanks for writing and for your compliment. I hop you have a nice holiday season.
I'm not all that familiar with NBO day, and don't know anyone in my area with alopecia. It's not much of a statement with just one. I would be more than happy to talk about AA, AU.
