I am here because I have a friend with alopecia. she has very low self esteem since she lost all her hair. I am trying to find ways to help her see how beautiful she is. I thought that if I get involved, she would do more for herself. Having a friend care so much might make her take part in life.
that is so nice of u you really need that surpport u know in ur life trust me i know friends and having relatships r hard 2 come by when u have alopecia u in ur life u can't tell who's ur friend or not or they juz feel sorry 4 u i hate that!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Judie. Has your friend ever considered a lace wig? Check our www.ultimatehaironline.com to view different wigs and client pictures. I don't have Alopecia, but my friend does and when she got a wig, she literally cried. So I thougt I'd share her secret.
Hi Judie, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us and we look forward to your input. Cheryl, co-founder
Aren't you wonderful!
Thank you for supporting your friend.
I know how hard it can be to feel beautiful. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make her feel better about everything. Check it out on my page -- and WELCOME!
