I'm a 40 year old married mum with 2 teenage children. My daughter was diagnosed with alopecia areata in March 2008, just before her 15th birthday. She progressed from a small patch to the nape of her neck ,to losing i'd say about 65% of her hair by the end of that year (mostly around the hairline at the back and sides). But she has been a star, an absolute inspiration! Still partying and looking fabulous! I've tried to keep a step ahead. Difficult. You don't need me to tell you how unpredictable alopecia can be. I'd like to chat people to share feelings and get tips on how to deal with this as a mum. I don't always know how to do it on my own.
