My daughter Grace who is 14 has just been diagnosed with alopecia ( Mid March 2010) Her hair loss was rapid - it certainly felt that way - and in just under two weeks she lost around 50%. I must confess to initially quite shell shocked with it and Grace dealt with it much better than I did! Sporting a new shaved no 4 look she has a slow re-growth happening now and we have greeted that with cautious optimism. Today (16th April) Grace has a new wig that looks great!
I found this site a great comfort when I first found it and hope to add our experiences and thoughts as we go through this extraordinary journey.
