I was diagnosed with alopecia in elementary school. I would loose patches of hair and it would always grow back. Unfortunately, it is no longer growing back. I am into mid thirties and have half of my hair gone. I am a very active person whose excercising daily by running, horseback riding, and spend much time outside. I am trying to deal with the fact that my hair will likely not come back this time. I am also learning about wigs and head coverings and such. It is a bit overwhelming but I find a lot of comfort in the many support group sites.
