- I discovered I have androgenetic alopecia 8 years ago. I have tried everything including rogaine. It did work for 6 years, but stopped working.I cannot afford hair replacement, nor do I know if I qualify. Now I am wearing hair toppers.I am trying to get comfortable with it, but it is taking awhile. I thought I would go on this site where I know people would understand what I am going through.
