I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
Hi Laura, Thanks for the comment on my blog. Actually, I didn't know what a blog was a couple of weeks ago :). I think If your son grows up with alopecia he will be just like any other kid. The mean kids are going to still be mean and his friends will still be his friends. His closest friends will nick name him curly or slick but he won't mind. He might even like the added attention. Kinda like eating grits. If you started eating them at 3 you get used to them a lot quicker...lol. Good luck and take care...Roger
