I am retired and now enjoy my work as a homemaker.
I do not have alopecia, but I do have hair loss that is genetic in my family. My mother and her sister (my aunt) have this same problem.
The European hair wigs are all virgin hair and you can have any color you want, which is untreated and natural. But yes, they are very spendy! I have learned to wash and style them myself (I tell you how in my book), but the initial investment is high. However, I have one that is seven years old and still looks like new, so that is a big plus. They pay for themselves over time. But synthetics are great, and wash & wear, and if they are good brands like the ones you have, there's no reason to wear anything else!
My first wig from that line was Erica! I liked it very much, too. Their wigs are very nicely made and natural-looking. Do you have any HH wigs? I have three European hair wigs which are lovely. Of course, more spendy and require more care, but it's nice to have both HH and syn. Hey, I'm glad you got the book! Let me know how you like it, okay? HUGS!
I like Rene of Paris and Amore wigs, too! My fave is "Brandi" but they discontinued the color (Butterscotch) so I have to order six at a time and they'll make them special for me. Take care! L.A.
