Hello, My name is Lee, and I'm a chemist living in Atlanta Georgia.

I thought I'd never have a problem such as alopecia, but after being diagnosed with lupus some 7 years ago, I began experiencing one of the symptoms of the disease, hair loss. My hair will grow a little, but not much, and is short all over with some thin and balding spots. I choose not to wear a wig, but only wear one around the house at times, lol. I guess if I was accustomed to wigs, or gave myself some time to get accustomed, then I would wear them. But I just keep my hair cut low, and go on about my business.

I must say that I really enjoy this site, even though I have not had a lifelong battle with alopecia. I come here to feel all the positive vibes. It helps also to know that there are those out there that have the same feelings about their alopecia as I do. So I am glad to be here.
