Recently turned 60 and in process of downsizing, simplifying life. However, I wasn't planning to "downsize" my hair!
I've been going to derms the past year or so due to thinning eyebrows which finally nearly totally disappeared. I also have a small area on the back of my head of alopecia areata. Two months ago I had my eyebrows "done" (permanent makeup) and that has helped a lot. Was finally starting to feel "normal". . .
. . . and then noticed a "rash" at the front of my hairline and noticed hairs seemed to be not as "filled in," maybe some missing.
Went to derm last week (July 2014)a biopsy was done and I'm waiting on results. My derm mentioned that she feels relatively sure it's lichen planopilaris.
In doing my own research rather obsessively these past few days I'm 99.9% sure I have FFA.
