I am not completly bald just enough to look like I am going through a treatment plan. I had breast cancer 4 years ago had chemo and my hair never came back. I have tried it all and now I know this is going to be it for my life which as long as I am healthy I will accept it. People are so rude out there so you have to have a tuff skin to get through this for sure and watch how vain women can be with their hair.
Do you have alopecia? (Choose appropriately)
Hair loss due to medical treatment
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes - I am 18 or older

Hi Maura, I've had AU for about 25 years and have been single for about six years. I understand how you feel about dating. I interviewed a lot of women, both married and single, for my book (more info on that on my page) and a lot of women feel the same way. However, most men are not bothered by alopecia -- at least, not the good ones! We all have baggage, the guys too. Good for you that you are getting yourself out there. Just remember that the confidence you felt was generated from your inner self. Get in contact with that again. You don't need hair to be beautiful. And my dog is my best friend, too!! Hugs, Leslie Ann
