I am a mother of three wonderful children! My oldest child, Tommy, was diagnosed with alopecia in the second grade and every day since then has strugled with it. He wears a hat everyday from the moment he wakes until bed time. He is such a wonderful kid and he still participates in many sports, well the ones that he can wear a hat while playing.

I have a 10 year old daughter with AA. We live in Mass too. Have you heard of the Childrens Alopecia Project? I run a support group through their non-profit. Feel free to contact me if you want more info. We won't have any more meetings until Sept, but there is a fun weekend planned by CAP in NC this Aug. I have a FB page for our group too. Inbox me for info. Cindy
