I'm 40 years old, married. Began with alopecia when I was 11 and at first it grew back several times then about 15 years ago I lost all my hair and it has never grown back. I've always worn a wig until recently when I have started on some occasions to just go 'bald' due to the wigs starting to irritate my head. I still find it very difficult to cope and it has knocked by confidence terribly, I have become quiet and shy. Would love to meet/have penpals with alopecia.

Hello and welcome, Ruth!
I'm sorry you're having a difficult time. I know how hard it can be. I've had universalis for about 30 years now. I wrote a book about hair loss called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" Let me know if I can help with advice or support.
