I am 15 years old and I have alopecia totalis. I had alopecia areata and then it turned to alopecia totalis. It's very hard for me because i was never confident about my self when i didn't have it. It started as soon as i hit puberty(age 13) which makes me wonder if i'll grow my hair back towards the end of my puberty stage. I lost all my eyebrows and head hair but i still have my mustache(sorta), my soon to be beard :), and some facial hair. I lost all my arm hair to but some is starting to grow back now(it's white). I'm also growing back my eyebrow hair! I don't really care for any other hair except my eyebrows. I got shots for it a week and two days ago and he said for it to grow back in two months. I already see some progress!(but it's white hair and it's only on the left side of both eyebrows) I have to be patient though( a problem i always had :D) I'm always checking my mirror to see my progress to the point where i'm becoming obsessive with it lol. Well we'll find out what happens when the two months approaches.

Hey Sean! I completely understand what you are going through! I've had had spurts of AA in the past, but it was unnoticeable. Then the summer before Freshman year(of all the luck) I was losing hair significantly. In less then 6 months in turned into AU. You're lucky that the treatments are working for you. I've tried a lot and no luck yet. I still hope though:)
