44yo female suffering from advanced alopecia ohiasis. Had first hair loss issue in 2008 with stress related thinning hair (wasn't alopecia yet) lost about 40% of my hair. Year later, lost about 90% by thinning again and wore a wig for a year and everything came back after I got rid of the stressor without trying any treatment at all however it left a small patch near my neck.
In 2014 that small patch grew to alopecia ophiasis and had few steroid treatment over several years. It worked for first few times but not for last few. (Continued injection for 6 months)
Now my ophiasis expanded again after hormone injections for IVF in February and started for a laser treatment for the first time - June 2020
Looks like I tend to have diffusing (thinning) when I receive stress, but I've lived “stress-free” life since my ohiasis started so diffusion and ohiasis seem to have different causes for me...
sorry, i didnt read your intro before i sent that other long msg. funny bc just saw u used the word stressor too. we must be on to it. but, wht u mean about diffusing?
