- Dermatologists can't be 100% sure if I have androgenic alopecia or not. My hair fell out after a perm solution was left on too long at a cosmotology school. I also suffered chemical burns. My hair grew back but has been very fine since 1999 and I am almost to the point of buying a wig. My hair gets horrible to style in the summer. It gets frizzy and flat and in the winter it is dry and full of static.
