- I was diagnosed wednesday 20 May. I noticed a round patch of hair had disappeared and then few days later my brow was wider. Went to see doctor who diagnosed FFA. I am using steroid gel for 2 weeks and then have to use betacap scalp application 2 to 3 times a week. I was told to eat plenty fresh fruit and veg and go away and look on internet! Wonder how others have got on and any ideas as to how much hair I will lose.
