- I'm 55, healthy, active. Married to a fine, supportive husband. I have low confidence and have allowed AU to contribute to that difficulty. I lost all hair, quite suddenly, at age 46. I had had years of intense stress which I didn't manage skillfully. My father also lost all his hair, after an open heart surgery later in life (genetic?). Am looking forward to talking with others about AU.

For what it's worth, you might find my book interesting -- it is written for women and talks a lot about attitude, makeup, wigs, and it's really fun to read, too.
