- I initially lost my hair to chemotherapy at the age of 19. However, it never grew back. 3 years later, biopsies are still showing alopecia areata. People keep saying "it was the chemo, it'll grow back!" which is honestly infuriating because the derm said it probably won't. I'm on the road to accepting this, but not sure I ever will.
