i have had alopecea areata in small patches on and off since the age of 11, got worse after each birth of my 2 children, now at 44 its suddenly gone crazy, l was treated for many years with cortisone shots but my alopecea has now decided to stay in active mode for sometime. one lots grows another falls out, my once beautiful thick long hair is now so much shorter, really at times i look like the crazy cat lady,i have to laugh about it with the kids..i have now begun a new treatment dcp, hoping it will work for me, but l must say its extremely itchy..
