Think I coped better to start with than i am now to be honest - hate my wig because its not me and call it "the rug rat". Hi Jackie, I know the feeling of hating to wear wigs. I did it for many years. I have had alopecia for 17 years and have lost and grown back a few times. I keep it buzzed short or shaved now, that way I don't have to think about it anymore. Wether it grows back or not right now... my hair cut won't look much different ;)

Hi Jackie!!! I also know the feeling of hating to wear wigs. I have lived with alopecia for the past 25 years and have worn wigs since I was 6 years old. My hair has grown back and fallen out several times over my life, and I have recently made the decision to keep my hair shaved permanently. I keep scarves of all colors and kinds on hand and baseball caps for those days (especially now that spring and summer is here) when I don't want to deal with sunburn. I'm glad you're here!!!
