I'm an ecclectic daydreamer who often doesn't set much of life to time unless I have too (work, et cetera). I am an artist at heart whose ideas are never put down. I am person who loves to get captured in the moment. I am superenergized only stopping to eat, sleep, or enjoy what's around me. I am a father of two kick ass daughters who teach me something new everyday. I don't seem to have one foot on the ground for a long period of time. If I am not teaching English at Erie Community College or as a Coordinator for Adult Education, I am walking around town with head phones and a cup of coffee, having dinner chats with my daughters, reading whenever I get a chance, watching the Independent Film Channel(IFC.COM), cycling...
You're daughter can feel free to ask me anything, I'm never far from my computer. To have grown up with hair and suddenly lose it can be devastating to a woman, especially not knowing when or even if the hair will ever come back. If she's still in high school I can only image the pain she's feeling and learning who you're real friends are (it gets better after high school). It is because people struggle to cope with their alopecia that I started Palopecia. It is a support group for people who live in and around the Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener/Waterloo and Fergus areas where they can come to meet other people just like them and learn about alopecia. I'm in the process of linking my group with the NAAF and I'm listed with the other support groups on the Canadian Dermatology Association's website. I'm in the process of developping a website for the group that you can look at if you like at www.freewebs.com/palopecia
I'm not sure where you are but if you're in the area you and your daughter are more than welcome to come by for a meeting. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about alopecia as well as your daughters. Encourage her to visit alopeciaworld and drop me a note! :)
Time heals all wounds!!! Keep your chin up!
