hi my krissma iv had alopecia from the age of 9 im a single mom of one.
and its nice to know that im not the only one with alopecia as i found it hard as a child thinking i was the only one it will be nice to meet new friends that know just how i feel and understand that it can still be hard to deal with at times but we can hold our heads up high a keep smiling :)

    Hi Krissma, I knew that 2% of the population had alopecia but I am still in awe when I go threw the list of 800 other people on this site. Somehow I know what you mean when you say that you no longer feel alone. As for getting to a place of not wearing a wig, I think it is more of finding a place of true acceptance, whether you are wearing a wig nor not. I think it is more about getting out of a place of "hiding". You are beautiful and I truly like your look, the scarfs really suit you, I was not able to pull that look of personally.
