About Me:: i currently suffer from alopecia universalis i have now come to terms with being bald and love it, after 15 years. would love to chat and email other in same situation, especially people in united kingdom.
i also would like to help others who arent coping well and need someone to talk too, as i have finally come to terms with being bald and im raising awareness on this condition.

Ello i had aa when i was about 5 it all came back an i only had small patches occassionally. In 2001 i lost all my hair, it came off very quickly and it took a while for it all 2 sink in. Somedays are better then others, windy days are not my best as i worry about my wig coming off. I haven't got the confidence to just wear head scarves i wish i did. How do you get on with your hair loss?

I've just read your comments and you are wonderful. I met you through going to the park with Knute and meeting you with your dogs, isnt it strange how people come together. You are a real fun person to be around, and very positive too, which benefits you in your condition. I think you are very brave, you have gone through the mill, for being so young. But you laugh alot, and laughter, they say is great medicine.

i have accepted it now. but it took me almost 2 years to get to this point! i was in denial, then depressed, angry and now finally have accepted it. i'm having fun with wigs and such too! how are you coping? when did you find out you had au?

How long did you wait before you shaved yours off? I look at myself and don't see me. My friends say it's not that bad. I honestly wouldn't mind shaving it off. I don't care about losing it. I just want to know what's going to happen already!

I loose my hair at the crown in one big patch and i have lost it twice. Because the first time I lost it I was 12 and then it started to grow back and a year later I lost it again. I am now 14. Anyway how was your friday the 13th? I fell over at school! How embarrasing, but only my friends saw and they were laughing their heads off. Emily x
