I am a Social Worker who love to work with children and families. I have been dealing with Alopecia for the last 10 years. However, this year has been very challenging as my Alopecia Areata progressed to Alopecia Universalis. So, I am just looking for support and ideas on how to cope. Thank You.
Hi Carol, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us. Cheryl, co-founder
Hi Carol! Welcome to this wonderful wonderful website! :) Just wanted to let you know that I created a group here for us Chicagoans. If you come to my page you will see the group on the left side under my groups. Or you can go to the groups tab at the top and search the word Chicago. Come join us!
Hi Carol,
Hey, I have universalis, too. I've had it for about 20 years. I wrote a book -- it's just out -- called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might help you with some extra support.
Check it out on my page -- there's a link too and if you click it you can get the book at a discount.
Hugs, LeslieAnn
