I was diagnosed with alopecia areata on Aug. 6 of this year. In the last month I have went through every emoticon know to man. I am proud to say that after all of that I have reached a ponit to were I am ok with it. That I might loose my hair but I will still be the same loving person that God made!!!! But I can not take any of the credit for any of it. With out my family , friends and most of all without ALMIGHTY GOD'S help I would still be every angry and upset.
Hi Tanya,
I understand exactly how you feel. My heart goes out to you. I have had alopecia for 30 years, and after becoming spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, I was asked by a lot of women for help and support. Because I wanted to help more women and girls, I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" I think it would help you. You can get it by clicking the link at the bottom of my page, or going to Amazon.com or the NAAF.org Marketplace. Please let me know if there's any other way I can help.
