I am 22. I found out I had alopecia when I was 20. It took its course, and eventually grew back after my 21st birthday. Its back again. My mom had it once when she was about my age, and so did her sister (my aunt). I try to deal with it the best I can. I think its best to say I have my good days and my bad days. I sometimes get frustrated about it, and sometimes I just really don't let it get to me. I try to be strong about it. I think that it takes really strong people to handle this, I do wish this time will be the last time.
but I guess we will see!
Hi Stashia, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us. Cheryl, co-founder
Hi Stashia,

In the meantime, welcome...this is a wonderful and supportive place.

I recently found out that I have alopecia too. I am new to this whole thing so I can't offer any words of wisdom, but if you ever need to vent or just want to chat, I'm here. The people on this site are amazing. They have been a huge encouragement to me. I'm sure you'll find the same thing.
