HI! My name is Mandy Reece. I live in south Georgia. I have had Alopecia Universalis since I was 13, im 26 now, and I still haven't met anyone else with alopecia. I'm hoping to find friends.
Hi Mandy, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us and we look forward to your input. Cheryl, co-founder
Yes, I am a little familiar with Atlanta. How are you? I live near the coast.
I am in the process of looking for a hairpiece. There is really nothing around here where I live. Is there any nice places up there you would suggest?
I went to HRS in Jacksonville a couple of weeks ago for a consult. The guy told me that an integration piece would probably run me at least 5K a year not including the maintenance every month and cut in. I wonder if Atlanta would be more reasonable??
Hi Mandy,
How are you today? I understand how you feel about your daughter. Have you checked the NAAF.org web site? They have a wonderful video that you can get for free, that you can have played at your school to introduce the kids and teachers to alopecia. It's very good.
