I am here to connect with others who are affected with alopecia. I credit this site in helping me to become less self conscious when I go out bald in public.

I wish that there was a group where I could personally interact with other alopecians. But it's nice to be here in AW to talk with people who are winning over the uncertainty and unpredictable nature of alopecia.

    I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!"     I know what you mean. I am dealing with the same issues. I am hoping and looking into hair systems. The search has been exhausting but I am holding onto hope. I hope you are able to get your hair prothesis. I have heard alot of success stories and people that are very happy with them.

    Thanks! Well I dont use the false lashes because it drove me crazy! I generally use a dark eye pencil and just darken the eye up. My goal is to have them permanently done. I had the eyebrows done and I love it.
