About Me:
Well i'm 24 just out of school and into a stressfull job. Then BaM the back of my hair starts falling out WTF i freaked. But out of chaos comes clarity and i'm slowly accepting what is going on with me. My girlfriend has been so supportive evan to the point of saying "i don't evan notice it anymore.lol She's a bad liar. But she gets me through the day. More so i beleive it's hardest at work, working in a corprate office where a head covering is contreversal is bad being the only one in that enviorment wearing a hat is worse. Ive been dealing w/ Alopecia for about 2 monthes now i'm going to the dermatologist every 2 weeks for injections as well as taking an oral an topical steroid in addition to 5% rogaine. I just stumbled across this social networking site at work. Shh don't tell! and it made me feel better i'll have pics up soon, Thank you all for your Strength

    Hi John, and welcome!! I know how stressful it is to have alopecia and have to deal with it in a corporate setting. Just make sure you have a letter from your dermatologist with their original signature on it (no stamps) and make sure that your Human Resources office has a copy of it on file. Any harassment you get from them will then be in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I can't wait to get to know you and I'm glad you're here!!

    That's a good thing for them to be kind. I learned the hard way a long time ago to always be prepared, so I'm passing that advice along.

    I'm sorry you are going through this. I used a powder that really helped in the begining stages for patch cover up it's called xfusion maybe this will help in the meantime.

    Go to the website for a demonstration www.xfusionhair.info
    Basically you sprinkle the fibers on then spritz with hair spray and on you go. will last until you wash it out or put your head on a pillow and roll around.

    Thanks for sharing. So are you off everything now? How much prednisone did you have to take?
    These treatment options wernt suitable for me because my alopecia was so fierce. Good news is I am at peace with it.
    Are you thinking about attending NAAF Conf this year?
