Crazy ,cute ,sometimes sad,love children and traveling and music +all my family....................I am 26 years old I Had alopecia since when I was a child but right now I lost my all hair 2 years ago .It was kind of schocking to me....I did try everything ..They came back but still losing them it does not have any end ........................................

    Hi Johana,

    I was Totalis for the first 5 years and have been areata for the past 12 years. I have not had a full set of hair in over 10 ears and right now, I have about 70% but I keep it cut like you see in my photos. I have gotten use to my look and have actually grown to really appreciate my uniqueness. I guess after 17 years, I can no longer imagine myself with hair. I do not have any children, but rj has 3 daughters (22, 16 and 14 years old). It is really nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you. Take care, Cheryl

    Good question -- Wow, I tried EVERYTHING! I wrote about it all in my book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" I wrote about many other people's experiences trying to find something to help their hair grow back, too. (You can find out more about the book on my page & there's a link on this site.) I tried the steriod injections, creams, heat lamps, ointments, valium, hypnosis, praying, acupuncture, meditation, you name it! Nothing worked...sad to say. However, researchers are working on finding a cure as we speak. Since I have had this for so long, I think my folicles have probably atrophied so a cure may not be in my future. But it's okay. I don't have to shave my legs or have bikini waxes!
