Hi john, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
Hi John, Keep corresponding with other with alopecia and I truly believe our mind set changes and the possiblities seem brighter. I lost my eyebrows and lashes for about a year and then they grew back. But I do remember hating it.
John, please understand that it is different for everyone. I lost my soon after I lost my hair, and within a year they just grew back. No rhyme or reason...
John, you are asking questions I can no longer remember it was 18 years ago ;). But I would try to focus on acceptance, the growth of your hair is not something we can control. We can only control how we are going to handle it.
hola John, como estas somos vesino yo vivo en garfield. y yo tambien tengo Alopecia Areata. lo supe en Dec 31 2008 esto es nuevo para me. te botate con la musica, y bien benido a Alopecia World.
Are you losing your eyebrows?
I lost mine and got tattoos which I like alot. I know you can get ones that you can put on and take off but I never tried them.
Yes the tattoos look really natural. It doesnt look lady like at all. I didnt have any hair left so I felt I looked too washed out. With the brows I can gain some expression.
Have you tried using a pencil or powder?
Yes only one son. I actually thought I would never have any children but It just happened and now hes the best thing that ever happened to me. How about you do you have any children?
Hey john, Im fine how are you? Im sorry ur feelin down about ur eyebrows...I think most people feel the same, I know I do, I think its because the eyebrows help define the face. But yea anytime u want to chat just let me know :)
Yea I am,im kinda depressed about it especially since theres no sign of any growth,I think the same thing happened to me, everytime I sleep, my eyebrows would fall off...and it started in september when I started my freshman year of college...
well u can use a brow pencil and lightly...thats what I used to do..and at this spa they do eyebrows with human hair...they are located in boston and new york. tattoos are are an option but i personally dont like them
okay well it really depends on how much uve lost then the eyebrow pencil wont be too noticable...about the spa...i saw the procedure with the eyebrows done on the tyra show...and ive been tryin to get more info
im watching my cousins and they cant play back shows on their tv...calosol does claim to restore the hair using natural ingredients...i dont have any experience with the hair products but i have used the eyebrow cream ....i was very dissapointed with it...maybe i didnt follow it through like i should...but nonetheless i was still dissapointed
i used it for maybe 1-2 months....i saw very little results...but everyone is different and everyone responds to treatment differently...the cream is put on the eyebrows but it also helped with eyelash growth but u dont put it on the eyelashes....its strong enough to help the eyelashes grow if they are just on the eyebrows....its worth a try...i just didnt follow through with it
yes its worth a try, and its not too expensive. if u are losing ur eyelashes look into LATISSE. u can even go to www.latisse.com which is $120/30days or try rapidlash www.rapidlash.com which is $50
im fine how are you? i hope u ordered the calosol and I hope its working for you if u've started using it... I also hope ur attitude toward alopecia is changing...mine hasnt changed i may sound positive on here but my actions/words say other wise- but i wouod advice u to pray, and/or get annointed at church...or go to a support group...go to naaf.org
same here. it is very depressing/fustrating but i try to keep in the back of my mind that its not the worst thing in the world but it does affect me. we are only human, our emotions cant be shut off and on so i dont blame u at all for feeling the way u do...what have u tried so far?
hey john!!! its been a while how are you? hope ur mood is improving!! I jst wanted to drop by and tell you about an amazing israeli doctor I saw on youtube, he treated a female who had alopecia totalis and she recovered 100% by his treatments...his treatments are natural ( he uses herbs) let me know if you want more information!!
Okay his name is shumuel gonen, he's a scientist or doctor im not even too sure...if you go on youtube just type his name in and see for yourself and see how he's helped men and children...I have some of his treatments.
