Joining this group is big for me. Haven't wanted to face this forever. I am a married mother of one daughter age 8. I had a small bit of AA when I was 12. It grew back and never heard from it again until I was 25. I had a bad break up and then my rollercoaster with AA began. I am now turning 40 Feb 2008 and have no hair on my head and one eyebrow. I just go along everyday, but some days it hits me when I look at my bald reflection. I am otherwise healthy though and so is my family - Thank God. I wear a vacuum wig from Freedom Hair.
Hello and welcome, Tracey!
I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make you feel better. Check it out on my page -- and let me know how else I can help.

Hi Tracey, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
