About Me:
I'm a writer who happened to come across this site while doing research for an article on head coverings in the Jewish community for the Brooklyn Jewish Examiner at http://www.examiner.com/x-12088-Brooklyn-Jewish-Examiner. Jewish women have something in common with individuals living with Alopecia - they wear wigs - as do I in my photo. So if you have any wig-related questions, feel free to send them my way!
Do you have alopecia?
I do not have alopecia
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes - I am 18 or older

Rivkah, do you happen to know a someone named Rochy from Mass. I had contacted someone in Brooklyn about getting a wig like hers for my daughter and was supposed to call the wife of the owner who was Rivkah and decided to hold off. The name of the wig place escapes me at this moment. Cindy

Hi Rivkah, thanks for your reply..I guess your not the same person in Brooklyn I was going to contact. My Rabbi's wife goes to Brooklyn for her wigs and they were going to special order one for Sam since I love hers. i have decided to wait b/c by Sept I don't think she will need a head covering. If you do decide to do an article in MA that would be great..cindy

I´m from Argentina...I contacted a place here where the owner said to me that her wigs are imported from USA, jewish community. Could be possible? Are they comfortable to wear every day all day long?
  • Karina

Rivkah..do you wear a wig? What type is it? Do you have a normal life with it?I bought a natural hair machine-made one in Argentina with stropes and it hurts me a bit at the front. There is another shop here that said to me that imported wigs from USA and that they are very flexible.

Rivkah..two more questions if possible...Are wigs comfortable in Summer? I have still have little hair and I want to know how you put on the wig? Os you hair tied or loose?
