I know. I interviewed a number of women who are moms of kids with alopecia, and it's usually harder on them than it is on the kids. If you want some extra support, you might find my book helpful. I have a chapter on kids with alopecia. The book is called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" You can find out more about it on my page, and if you want to get a copy you can, at a 30% discount by clicking the link or cut and paste:www.leslieannbutler.npauthors.com.

Hi there! I live in Houston, Texas. How are you doing? I bet it has been really hard on you. I'm so sorry. I know it was hard for me and I can't imagine how hard it will be for you as a mother of a girl. Time heals all wounds though. If you ever want to chat, just zip me a message. Sincerely, Jenn

    Hello Nicole,
My name is Melani, and my daughter Genevieve was diagnosed with AA this past week. Her situation reminds me of your daughter's (who is beautiful, by the way) because Genevieve still has about 95% of her hair. What she has lost we can still cover with her other hair. It has been about a month since we noticed the first spot and it has grown a fair amount in that time, plus she has developed two other smaller ones on the opposite side of her head. I was just wondering if you find yourself constantly worrying about more falling out--I am trying to be positive that she still has as much hair as she does, but the wondering is driving me nuts!
